Biggibilla’s Phygital Artworks depict a way of life that has existed from creation time in an unbroken, oral transmission from my uncle (my  mother's brother) and the sacred visitation and initiation from Doongallah (Lightning Ball).

The songlines, sand engravings and tree carvings (Mingga) have all been transferred into his artworks and which are based on Yuwaalaraay matrilineal tradition.  Whereas, the Central Desert dot paintings and artworks are based on sand/dot ground paintings.

The area associated to his songlines covers approximately 12,000 sq kms, stretching from the Warrumbungle Mountains along the eastern boundary to Mt Gunderbooka in the west.

“Biggibilla” means echidna in the Yuwaalaraay language and it is the initiated totem which is custodian or caretaker of daytime, flora and fauna.  Biggibilla was born in 1947.
